Go to www.google.com, perform a search on your restaurant and your city. If you are listed in the phone book you should find several postings for your business. Click on some of the top links and write reviews about your restaurant, your hours, and what you have to offer. This will help get free information out electronically to your potential customers.

Make sure you have easy to read take-out menus available for customers to take home with them. List the menu items with the current pricing - Include all of your contact information on the menu.

Place the take-out menus around town. Especially in break rooms at local factories, stores, schools and other businesses.

Ask your local paper to write a review or introductory article about your new restaurant. Check local-pricing for advertising.

Contact local radio-stations and ask about bringing in complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner for the working staff. They may just put a plug about your business on the radio for free, as they are enjoying their free goodies!

Start a punch card system for loyal customers - This will encourage them to keep coming back to earn their free item. i.e "But 9 cups of coffee, receive the 10th coffee FREE"

Print off colorful fliers, including information about your restaurant location, contact information, business hours and specialties. Place them at various business bulletin boards around town.

Networking is vital in starting your new restaurant. Begin talking to your friends and family in the community and have them help you spread the word about your business. Get connected with other area business owners and look into cross-promoting your cafe.

Provide free food or drink for community events, placing signs and information about your business. i.e "Sandwiches provided by ..."
